The MP Merit Award 2025 – “Ponthuval” Alappuzha Chapter – 2nd Edition
The second round of the MP Merit Award 2025 – Ponthuval felicitation ceremony took place on September 20, 2025, at the Mikars Convention Centre in Kayamkulam. This event, presided over by MP K.C. Venugopal, recognized students from the Alappuzha Lok Sabha constituency who achieved full A+ grades in both SSLC and Plus Two examinations.
The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Krishna Byre Gowda, the Hon’ble Revenue Minister of Karnataka.

Venugopal, MP, Jiji Thomson, who served as Chief Secretary for the Government of Kerala from 2015 to 2016, Vinoy Thomas, a novelist, Bishop James Anaparambil, T.P. Sasikumar, a visionary scientist, transformative educator, compassionate mentor, and prolific author, as well as Rajeev Alunkal, a lyricist.
